Tools Required:
Squeegee / Vinyl Applicator
Stanley knife
Paper Towels / cloth
Chinagraph / Stabilo (wax pencil)
Measure Tape / Ruler
Cleaning Fluid e.g. Meths
Application fluid e.g. water with a drop of washing up liquid (optional)
Step 1:
We first start by cleaning the substrate on which you will apply the decal regardless whether or not you “think” it is clean, clean it again.
The reason for this is that it may still have oils or dirt that we cannot see.
After a once over with a dry cloth or paper towel we use Isopropyl alcohol (optional) to wipe down the vehicle & rid it from any grease or car wax etc.
Step 2:
Repeat again with a dry paper towel.
Step 3:
Having made sure the area you are about to apply the graphic is clean.
You should now be ready to measure & mark the vehicle/substrate to suit the text/graphic in question. (Using your measure & wax pencil)
Step 4:
Now you’re ready to peel the graphic free from the carrying paper.

Step 5:
Once your text/graphic has been peeled of its backing/carrying paper, position on the marks made prior for it. If you are positioning text. Be sure to use only one of the following: The flat bottom text or the round bottom text. Do not use both. I.e. the curve at the bottom of an “a” hangs lower than the flat bottom of say the capital “A”
Once in position only tack this on using the backing tape. Do not tack on using the letters/vinyl.
**This may cause the vinyl to start gripping the vehicle. If this happens it will make removing bubbles from beneath the graphic much more difficult. It may also cause the vinyl to crease when the sir is being forced out in that area.**
Step 6:
Start to squeegee from the centre of the graphic. Pushing the air out up and down, working your way out to the left and right of the text/graphic.

Step 7:
After you feel confident that all the air has been removed from beneath the text/graphic, pull the transfer tape off at a 45-degree angle in the downward direction.

Finished!

Well done!
